Judged Exhibition

See judged artistry from each of the disciplines of the sponsoring clubs. The artistry is made by workers from all over Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. Compare your views with the judge’s awards and decide who really should have won! Maybe you should enter your work next year?

Shown here is a 2017 entry from the scrollers.

Featured Artist

Each year the club hosting the show presents a Featured Artist. The Featured Artist is selected from the top artists of the host club. The show provides the Featured Artist a special exhibit space. Come meet the 2020 Featured Artist. The artist will be available through the show to answer your questions and discuss their work.

The work shown here is “Raven’s Wing” from Gene Fuller, the 2019 Featured Artist from the Idaho Woodcarvers Guild. For 2020, the Treasure Valley Scrollers host the show. Check back in to see who the scrollers choose as their Featured Artist.

Demonstrations

See experts in woodturning, woodcarving, gourding, scrolling, woodworking, computer controlled woodworking, or more ply their crafts. Find your new calling — pick your new favorite artistry.

Auctions

Bid on your favorite artistry, tools, and who knows what else donated for our Silent Auction. The Silent Auction runs through the show. Check back often to make sure you haven’t been outbid!

And, to boot, we have a tremendously fun real live auction with a real live auctioneer during the Saturday night banquet. There’s a good chance a Vanna or two may show up to parade the artistry around for all to see. Come join the fun.

The proceeds help fund the Idaho Artistry in Wood and Gourds show. All the auction pieces are donated from our supporting artists.

This carving was a 2019 auction item.

Raffles

Listen-up for regular raffles of all sorts of interesting things. Get your tickets at the raffle desk. Raffle items include artistry pieces like the gourd and woodturning pieces shown here — from the 2019 show.

Who knows what else might be raffled in 2020?

Great fun and the proceeds help fund the Idaho Artistry in Wood and Gourds show. All the raffle pieces are donated from our supporting artists.

Vendor Tools w.png

Vendors

You’ll have the opportunity to visit the displays of a limited number of vendors dealing in wood and gourd artistry products. These are highly specialized vendors dealing in products directly related to the artistry work of our show. You can talk to the vendors’ representives and even purchase products if you wish.

Most people find this an interesting and informative part of the show.

Shown: tools, lots of tools.

Jump Banquet w.png

Banquet

The Idaho Artistry in Wood show committee invites you to join us in the annual Saturday night banquet. Get an opportunity to meet the artists, vendors, volunteers who put on the show, and fellow guests. Review the pieces to be auctioned off later.

After the meal, see a presentation of some of the results from the show followed by a live auction of artwork big and small. This makes for a fine evening and great fun.
